Did Jesus Create The Heavens and The Earth?

So in whom will you believe in? No doubt, there are a few who will be offended in the name of Jesus. Nevertheless, what does the Bible say about His characteristics and with reference to the foundation of the world? Who is Jesus In actuality? Is he God? Is he the Son of God? While growing up we are taught differently with regards to God and people will accept one idea today, and another tomorrow. One thing to consider is, you can find confidence in trusting the Word of God. People’s opinion change but the word of God stands steadfast. Unmovable and unshakable.

I have known some that have walked away from the Faith because they blame God for the loss of a loved one. It is definitely difficult losing someone you love, but to give up ones faith, I put that on a list of things I could never do. It calls into question whether your relationship with The Lord was genuine in the first place.

Take a look at Job for instance. If someone had a right to be angry at the The Lord, it would have been Job. He lost his family, his cattle, and everything he owned, home, he had sores all over his body, and a curse cast on him. His response wasn’t to draw back from God, He Drew nearer to the Lord, he praised and prayed to God. The Creator later blessed Job by multiplying all Job had lost because Job refused to lose heart but was persistent being devoted through the pain.

Did Jesus Create The Heavens and The Earth?

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. So we know God is the creator, nevertheless how does Jesus fit into the design of the planets and who is He? The Prophet Isaiah had something of note on the topic, with reference to Jesus quite a few hundred years prior to his birth. In Isaiah 9:6 it reads, “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Is the passage suggesting Jesus is God when it says “Mighty God”? I think so. Am I approaching this from the wrong view? Lets evaluate another book within the bible. Jesus is also referred to as “the Word” The term “Word” is capitalized. The verses describe the “Word” and tell you who he is. John 1:1-5 says, “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things had been made through him and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life and the life was the light of men.” In verse 14 it says, “And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the Only begotten of the Father, filled with grace and truth.” The passage is clear that Jesus is the Word and that He is God.

But lets examine yet another chapter, Colossians 1:15-17. In verse 15 it states He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God (The Father). Verse 16 says He created all things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, irrespective of whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All thing were formed due to him and for him. And he is prior to all things, and in him all things consist.”

Did Jesus Create The Heavens and The Earth?

Jesus is from everlasting to everlasting. He has been in existence from before time was created. Many people believe He only came about when he was born in a manger. But he traveled from heaven and arrived on earth, on a mission to redeem men from their sins.

Several years before Jesus came as a baby, He was present in an additional Bible story in Daniel 3, Three Hebrew men ended up sentenced to die in a fiery furnace, simply because they refused to bow down to a false god, King Nebuchadnezzar intently watched as the men bound and thrown into the furnace. The narrative says the King was surprised and inquired stating, “did we not cast three men bound into the center of the fire? Why do I see four men untied in the midst of the fire and one appearing like the Son of the living God. All through Bible history, Jesus has been shown to us. It’s only a matter of us reviewing the word of God.

Another instance of Jesus inside the old covenant is Genesis chapter 18. Where Abraham bows before the The king of kings who appears with two angels. The Lord confides to Abraham a son would be born to him. God also divulges to Abraham His plans to tear down Sodom and Gomorrah. This was also a number of thousand years prior to the Birth of Jesus Christ. All this points towards the identity of Christ.

Let’s Take a look at a statement Jesus Gave in John 10: 9-10 so we are able to better understand him! “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the gate of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the gate. If somebody enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go out and in and find pasture. The thief won’t get nearer excepting to steal, and to kill and to destroy. I’ve come that they could have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
