The Watchman Forewarns of Danger
The Watchman’s warning of Danger.
The purpose of the watchman is to inform others of imminent danger. The danger may be deadly and may cause great harm. He sound the trumpet, so to speak, giving you warning. Allowing you the opportunity to change course. If you think about it, a watchman has great responsibility. He is a trusted servant and he is on the front-line of the battle. He would need to have wisdom and knowledge for overcoming each challenge.
The Watchman: A messenger of God.
The Biblical watchman of Ezekiel chapter 33 is somewhat different. He too warns of pitfalls and danger, but he is the messenger of God. He brings good news and bad. The good news is we have an opportunity to repent. To turn around and receive mercy from God. But the watchman also bring news of a coming judgment, which will fall upon the entire earth. If we do not turn of our wicked ways we will not escape the judgement. The watchman warns us to make right choices and in doing so we are spared from judgment to come.
The Watchman warns of sword to come.
“But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.”
The watchman forewarns of danger.
Who then will be responsible if you are warned by the watchman about God’s judgment, about God bringing the sword, about turning from wickedness? God’s word says that man who ignores the watchman will bring judgment on his own head and He will judge man by his own deeds.Click Here To Watch The "5 Memory-Killing Foods You Should NEVER Eat" Video
Folks, the bible says the wages of sin is death. That means if we keep sinning we will die in our sins. But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. That means if we are in Christ Jesus we are saved for ever. Amen…
Prayer of faith
If you want Jesus today, pray this prayer: Lord Jesus, I believe you died for me on the cross. I know that I am a sinner and have fallen short of your glory. Please forgive me of all my sins. Come into my heart as Savior and Lord. Help me to walk closely with you. I believe I am saved now and thank you for saving me, Amen.
